This unit gave me a better glimpse of the purpose that course books serve. Prior to this unit, I was unaware that course books provided teachers with so many materials! I also did not know that teachers were able to omit, replace, supplement, and adapt certain lessons from course books in order to fit the style and interests of their students. It was encouraging for me to learn about the flexibility and freedom teachers have to not only use a course book for help, but to then mold the lessons to fit their students in the best way possible.
