Dear Moderator,
This unit was very helpfull understanding different kind of evaluating and proressing students.
I would like to share with you how much i have learn from this unit about evaluating and progressing students with you. There are tree ways we can divide them and explained them.
Tutorials: Spending some time with students after classroom and reviewing what work has being done , discussing of lessons and how well they are understanding, or asking if there is any problem.
Evaluating by students: It can be very useful to ask students to evaluate their course by questioning them by survey or guided discussion. For example, we can ask them if they getting enough grammer,etc.
Tests: There are different kinds of tests for different purposes. We can use some of them to fin out information we need from students.
1-Placement test: This test is usually to find out students' level to put them separate classes by their level.
Diagnostic Tests: Designed for to get information from students about what they know or what they don't know at the beginning of the course.
Practice Tests: Usually used before the external exams to find out how close they are to find out required stundarts

1-Placement test: This test is usually to find out students' level to put them separate classes by their language levels.
Progress Tests: They use periodically to gauge what language has been remembered or forgotten to help student where to study more to cover them up.
Diagnostic Tests: Designed for to get information from students about what they know or what they don't know at the beginning of the course. It provides us current strengths or weeknesses of students'
Practice Tests: Usually used for revision purposess and internal or external exams to find out students' current strenghts or we can say how closer they are to external exam. It should be as near as possible to the style of the real exams.
External Proficiency tests: Used for general english,business english and academic english.
Cambridge Assestments exams: Responsible for a broad range of assessments Forexample, KET (Key English Test)
Genarally we want to get bast job and best carier in our life. Order to get best job we have have to have enough ability ,knowledge to fit in those jobs. It makes since why we are testing in our life . Testing always gonna be there to find out where we fit in our life and what we are able to get.
