This unit started with briefly explaining different approaches to language teaching which have been used through time; some proved inefficient and some conducive to fluency and accuracy in a second language. It then went on introducing ESA, and whatever should be done in each stage. After than some concrete examples of ESA, like straight arrow ad patchwork were provided. Continuing the unit, I got familiar with pioneer ideas to effectively establish each stage of ESA. Later, the philosophy of correction was explained. I also learned some practical points about lesson planning.
