This unit covered Lesson Planning and included example lesson plans and activities in addition to outlining several things to consider when making/planning a lesson. For example, creating lesson plans that are adaptable and flexible is a skill that will be invaluable for having structured lessons that can be changed to meet the needs of the students. I thought this unit gave a good introduction to lesson planning and what is required to make good lessons. It is important to have goals for yourself and students, prepare materials and anticipate possible problems that can arise during a lesson. Too much rigidity will make lessons uncorfortable and may not work; while having no plan at all will waste time during a lesson, and have no direction. In both cases learning will be hindered.
