This was the most helpful unit as it elucidated how I should best teach children and beginners. I learned to act out the meanings of words, speak slowly and directly, to not put an individual child on the spot to produce language, to come down to the height of the child, and to use lots of games and competitions in my lessons. I learned to not use Korean in class, even though I know it because it enables the children to not rely on learning English.
