I have a ton of compassion for people who are learning English as a foreign language, because tenses in the English language are difficult. 12 different tenses?! That's crazy. I know the way we are supposed to use the different tenses instinctively, but I have a hard time trying to keep the labels straight and an even harder time explaining the differences between each tense. I feel like I need a bit more practice in this area of teaching, and am grateful for this lesson as a resource to look back at again in the future.
