Using eye contact, gestures and voice are the best tools which can be used by a teacher in the classroom. Eye contact helps maintain discipline, make sure everyone is involved in the lesson and understand what they are required to do. Gestures can be useful when a teacher wants to draw students' attention, to reduce the need for oral explanations and to reinforce instructions. Voice alterations help a teacher draw attention of his students when giving explanations/instructions, liven up the atmosphere in class and maintain discipline.
