In this unit I learned about the materials that should be used in the language classroom. I learned about authentic materials and created materials and how I as a language teacher can employ these materials in the classroom. In this unit I learned that materials that a native person would be exposed to is considered to be authentic and how exposing students to these types of materials would build their confidence and me of great interest to them. However, I also learned that I must be careful in choosing these materials and be conscious of language levels. I also learned that with created materials I would have a little more freedom to be creative in the classroom.
