This is a great review of the many and current methodologies of EFL. The various methodologies were explained in great detail and how they are or were used to teach English learners. The ESA method (engage, study, and activate) explains that language students need to be motivated to acquire a L2 language. Elicitation or asking thought provoking questions is extremely useful component of the ESA process. In this unit ESA lesson plans were explained with what activities is each part of the method. This unit pointed out that the lessons are more student centered than teacher center. Positive feedback for the student is very important for self image and confidence.
