Communication, being a very complex thing, is very important when it comes to learning languages. It requires some degree of accuracy and fluency which are of equal importance. If accuracy is concerned with saying things right, fluency deals with flow of the communication and using language creatively. When in comes to speaking activities in class there are such groups of them: controlled and guided activities, and creative communication. In most instances, students are not prone to speaking in class because of diffidence, fear of making mistakes and lack of interest in the topic. In order to encourage communication a teacher should plan his lesson carefully, find the topics that can interest students, use games, let students communicate in groups or pairs and control speaking process but not correct mistakes immediately.
Due to the fact that teachers don't consider writing as much important as speaking, this skill is usually students' weak point. A teacher should equally develop each skill, even writing. Students should know the difference between formal and informal stye of writing, know how to write emails, letters and essays. Of course to master this skill, students should know punctuation, grammar, spelling, mind their handwriting and read books.
