The two productive skills are Speaking and Writing which its purpose is to communicate. There are many reasons to communicate, therefore, as the teachers, we should create the need and desire for the students to communicate. Accuracy and fluency activities are equal importance as they appear in different phases. Accuracy activities are usually integrated in the study phase. These are controlled or teacher-guided activities used to practice correct usage of grammar and language. Fluency activities, on the other hand, are usually done in the activate phase. They provide opportunities for students to experiment and be creative with the language. The speaking activities in the classroom are usually divided into 3 main groups: controlled, guided and creative activities. Our mission is to use appropriate techniques, prepare the lesson, create suitable activities, interest in a topic and a comfortable atmosphere in order to encourage students to speak and interact during a lesson. Additional issues that the teacher has to consider for a writing activity are: Handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation, which can all differ greatly from the students native language so they must be addressed when teaching writing skills. Like speaking, we should encourage the need and desire for students to write. Moreover, we should be creative in the teaching styles, writing tasks or even games and everyone (both the teacher and students) will benefit from it.
