This unit was slightly easier to get a mental grasp of than the first unit on present tenses. Once you realize that each sentence structure has its own unique identifiers it becomes much easier to differentiate them. That is not to say that the concepts outlined in this lesson were entirely intuitive. Each past tense has it's own distinct uses and they can become somewhat jumbled if one is not paying attention. For example past simple and present simple have entirely different uses and it's easy to get the two mixed up if you're not actively thinking on the differences between the two.
