In this section I was taught the basic rules and entailments related to a positive student/teacher relationship. In my opinion the key points are the following:
A good teacher must have a number of qualities and an innate potential for sharing relevant and significant information, being assertive and providing feedback in a neutral tone and manner to encourage and involve a class.
The teacher is the main source of vocabulary, pronunciation and inspiring energy of a class. A teacher is a model to which students look up to, however the student's personal background may influence the way they transpose the model and the teacher's credibility may find difficulty to measure up with previous standards.
Therefore, the potential main task in teaching is for sure that to involve with up-to-date subjects and adequate documentation and resources at all levels. The most relevant difficulties could be found while teaching in a post puberty student classroom as they are considered to have a lower level of motivation and attention time.
It is important to apply the roles (manager/controller; organizer; assessor; prompter etc...)subject and activity based.
Moreover corrections of vocabulary, grammar and personal behavior must be performed in a professional and none aggressive manner in order to keep an assertive and communication based on trust and overall kindness.
The communication skills of each teacher are different, however must be applied with homogeneity and as a direct effect of the type of student to which he/she is giving a class and thus, based on their scholarship, cultural background and general tendency to be assertive and receptive.
The strength of a student is that to be a good listener, to be willing to ask questions, desire to learn and be humble enough to accept corrections.
The levels of a student are measurable in terms of vocabulary, fluency and general mastering of a non native language and can be grouped in levels as beginners, elementary, low/pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper-intermediate or advanced to each level it is possible to associate a determined certification of the Common European Framework and is useful to fill in CV's and get personal skills and competencies achieved in order to be able to travel and work abroad as well as having a chance to demonstrate personal growth and wish for a open minded future.
