In this unit we learned about the past tense and its four forms: past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. We learned that the continuous forms have some form of "be" and "verb+ing." We also learned that the perfect forms feature some form of the verb "to have" with the past participle of the verb. All the perfect continuous forms have some form of "to have" and "been" with the "verb+ing." This unit gave a list of common irregular verbs. For each tense the unit gave usages so that we can better explain to the students when to use each tense.
