Unit 11 gives us the brief information about 4 basic skills in general and provides us with the more specific details of two receptive skills: reading and listening. Firstly, we get to know about 2 main categories of the reasons for reading and the skills that are required for that. We get to know about the possible issues with listening and reading: the language usage, the topic and the tasks and provides us the information regarding the above problems. Also as an example, in this unit we are provided with the great example of a typical receptive skills lesson, based on Patchwork ESA lesson plan. At the end the unit introduces the basic keys to successful receptive skill lessons.
