This unit covered four types of grammar: modal verbs, passive/active voice, clauses, and phrasal verbs. Modal verbs are used before verbs to add additional meaning to the verb. This additional meaning could be politeness, possibility, advice, ability, etc. Passive voice can be applied to put less focus on the subject and more on the object. Clauses can be used to add additional information to sentences. Phrasal verbs are unique verbs that use prepositions. Overall, this unit was useful to me as I learned about grammar points that were natural to me, but I may have not been familiar with the rules. The sections on phrasal verbs were especially useful as I was never aware of this grammar point.
