This section dealt with the sounds and general phonology of words in the English language. It covered heavily the pronunciation of English words, emphasizing things such as stress, intonation, and sound level. It also delved into the phonetic language which aims to spell out words into the soundss that they actually make versus how they maybe spelled (for instance how my is phonetically sounded as "Mai". As well as this, the parts if the mouth and organs which take part in separate sounds was covered to portray how the sounds work.
