The unit talks about the teaching pronunciation and phonology. What is the definition of pronunciation, phonology and intonation. There are four major ways that sounds join together. They are linking, sound dropping, sound changing and extra lettering. It is very important to look at the International Phonemic Alphabet chart when students are familiar with this alphabet, they should be able to pronounce any word in the dictionary. The chart of the manner and place of articulation shows the consonants, the most important expressions to know for manner of articulation are: plosives, fricatives, affricates and nasals.
