The teacher is the source of language for the students in the classroom environment. As such, it's very important that the knowledge be projected at its best throughout each student. With so many different activities to do with the class, whether it be individual, pair, or group, there are certain arrangements the teacher can make in the classroom to help better understand the material covered in the activities. Could be pushing desk into groups for a role playing activity or in a horseshoe seating for a group miming activity. With each arrangement its best noted to remember the pros and cons of each one for the selected work. As well as the structure of the room, the teacher projecting the language should have it well displayed and easily understandable. Maybe writing down instructions on the board before the class starts, but making sure its simply put, and not too complex for the language level you are teaching. Personally, I believe mixing things up, so as the student don't get bored of doing the same thing, is the best way to motivate them to learn. Engage the students, study them, then activate with them so they learn, and I learn them.
