St. Thomas, North Dakota TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
This unit has taught me how it can be common for students to make mistakes or errors when learning another tense structure. For example, once they have learned present simple tense, it might be a different application to use when referring to a present perfect continuous tense i.e "I am a secretary for five years." The mistake being that the student might think since he became a secretary those five years ago, he should refer to it as such, but not adapting that he's still is one. Thus, changing it to "I've been a secretary for five years." Such common hiccups can be understandable, and must require patience and attention to make sure each student finds their own correct, communicative path.
