This unit reviewed the past tenses, including their uses, regular and irregular forms. As with the present tenses, I was already very familiar with the past tenses and their forms, but not their official categorizations and titles. The biggest thing I learned from this unit was the difference between the past perfect and the past perfect continuous (had walked vs. had been walking). This is useful information to explain to students because it is a nuanced difference, but can really differentiate an individuals' fluency.
