This unit is about teaching vocabulary, grammar and language functions by applying the ESA method. Some issues relating to the teaching of vocabulary are: the selection of suitable vocabulary according to their level, the meaning and the use of new words, word grammar (where it belongs in the context of the sentence), spelling and pronunciation. On the other hand, teaching grammatical structures means illustrating the meaning, the use and the forms and patterns. Teaching language functions, instead, concerns the appropriacy of the language in terms of the kind of register they use.
