This section was very difficult. It was about phonetics and teaching it. I'm not even sure I fully understand how to teach it just yet. The most difficult thing was the phonemic alphabet. I learned the different symbols of the international phonemic alphabet, tested my skill in reading words written phonetically, and learned more about intonation and stress. As a native English speaker, stress and intonation come naturally to me and is not something I think about. The same rings true for the way the mouth and all its parts come into play for making letter sounds. That was so much information, I somewhat felt lost.
