As receptive skills, language learners should have a strong foundation in reading and listening skills, to build their vocabulary and grammar, so they have confidence in speaking and enjoy reading. From personal experience, I find that listening to what the actors say in a movie and reading the subtitles at the same time help to improve my accuracy of a language. This unit helps to reinforce the use of the ESA methodology and the way to prepare lesson plan. I enjoy this unit, and look forward to the next one on productive skills.
