Relatively easier unit compared with the earlier unit on present simple tense,as we are now familiar with the 4 types of tenses within each main tense. However, I can imagine new English learners being confused with the forms of the 4 types of past tense, especially with past perfect continuous with either past continuous or past perfect. For me, I remind myself that continuous tense uses a present participle, e.g. walking, as opposed to perfect tense that uses a past participle, e.g. walked; and the key difference between past perfect continuous and past continuous is the use of 'had been'for the former and not the latter.
