THis unit went of the main structure of lessons and how TEFL courses try to engage students in learning. The classes use ESA: Engage, study, activate to teach. Engage is about getting students warmed up and always comes at the beginning of the class. study is about learning the main points for the day's lesson, activate is where students are free to use any of the language that they know to communicate. I also learned that feedback should be mostly positive and that it is important to remain sensitive when making corrections. You should not correct every single mistake, only those that are made repeatedly or impede learning.
