I am still not always sure where engage and activate differ in planning the lesson. Sometimes it seems to me there are interchangeable functions in structuring these parts of the lesson plan. The idea of keeping the lesson plans as a record of materials covered is really important and something I have to work on as I have not always done it in the past. I do go to class with the idea of what students will be able to accomplish at the end of the time, but this lesson doesn't tell me how to deal with a multi-level class which I what I often deal with. I need to give extra time to beginners so it's hard to structure a plan when some are not literate in their first language.
