I was worried that this unit was going to be long and arduous, not unlike the Present Tenses unit. I almost felt heavy while working on that unit -- while I knew what present tenses were, and could use the forms properly, I didn't really understand how they worked and wouldn't have been able to teach them. However, because I was equipped with that knowledge, the Past Tenses unit felt much easier, and was definitely not as hard as I was making it out to be. It gave me a feeling of relief that I feel that I can pass onto my future students: things may seem tough, but you have the knowledge to make this so much easier! (Of course, this is how learning and growing works!)
