I think pronunciation and intonation are very important to cover in ESL classes, especially for ESL learners whose first language has a very different phonetic system or intonation, like in Japanese. I was already somewhat familiar with this content from a linguistics class back in the day, but this was a good reminder. The hints on how to teach intonation and stress were helpful, thought I think more explicit recommendations on how much to emphasize pronunciation (maybe based on survey data of classes or something) would have been helpful, instead of just saying to do it based on what you feel.
