Unit 1 Teachers and learners This unit covers what each teachers needs to know about his role, the appropriate personality aspects and important characteristics that affect the relationship between teacher & student such ? I see that initial characteristics of the teacher are “kind & patient “ because if the teacher has a great knowledge of his subject but lack patience , he will not stand children anger tantrums or non-motivational status of learners ? Then going to the rule of the teacher in the middle of “ student center “ learning environment , illustrating the importance of being manager, organizer, Assessor, prompter, participant, tutor, facilitator, model . They show reasons of unsuccessful learning processes. “Assessor” teacher is very important to highly connect the teacher with the student & help him to feel confident & successful. Also the “organizer “teacher help in completing the activities with excitement without moving the students as dolls, they will be aware of what they are aiming to ? Moving to good learners characteristics such as willingness to listen & experiment other language, acceptance for errors & thinking about the whole learning process. All these help the teacher to pay attention to what needs to be encouraged and fostered & act as a prompter if it is necessary ? Then illustrating different factors affect learning such as Age , learning experience , motivation, nervousness, language awareness , behavior problem , life experience , culture & language level
