In this unit, I learned about the different kinds of future tense which are the future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, be going to + infinitive, present simple, and present continuous. Let me focus on the first five items since we have already discussed the last two items previously. The future simple id formed by 'will/shall' + verb and it is used to describe future facts and certainties, promises, predictions based on no present evidence, assumptions, spontaneous decisions, and threats. The future continuous is formed by 'will + be + the present participle form of the verb' and it is used to describe something that will be in progress at a particular time in the future, to say what we think might be happening now, for polite questions about other people's plans, and to refer to fixed future events. The future perfect is formed by 'will + have + the past participle form of the verb' and it is used to say that something will have been done/completed/achieved by a certain time in the future. The future perfect continuous is formed by 'will + have + been + verb -ing' and it is used to say how long something will have continued by a certain time. The 'going to' future (be going + infinitive) is used to describe intentions, predictions based on present evidence, and plans made before the moment of speaking.
