In this case we have studied which are the possible ways to teach english vocabulary, grammar and functions. We have seen what is important for the students to know and which activities and ESA types are the most appropriate for each subject.
We always have to keep in mind that the student should be exposed to language, understand its meaning and the way it is constructed and be able to practice it and produce it.
When teaching vocabulary it is harder to understand which words should be taught. That is way it is recommended to consider, according to the class, how appropriate those words will be for the students and for the tasks we are going to work on, how frequently are they going to be use and its teachability.
When it comes to teaching grammatical structures, the class content will relate to the level we are teaching.
As of language function, it will be more effective if we use Boomerang or Patchwork ESA classes type, in which we can focus a bit more in the activation of the language.
In this unit I feel that everything that was teached was new for me. It was good to understand what needs to be taught/learned and how, when studying a new language. It is basic information to be able to structure and plan a class.
