This unit focused more on the vocabulary, grammar, and functions aspect of ESA. It is a deeper discussion on what was learnt from unit 3. It also showed different examples and techniques that a teacher might use in order to conduct effective lessons using the ESA method.
It also emphasizes that it is better to use the Straight Arrow method when teaching grammar or vocabulary, while teaching functions could be easier with the use of the Boomerang or Patchwork ESA structure.
