In Unit One I learned the makeup of a good teacher and a good learner. A good teacher knows subject content, creates engaging lessons, cares about her students, and is engaged in the range from managing the class to observing the class. A good learner is willing to listen to the language, take risks, and ask questions. I also learned about the different levels of language proficiency and what each level entails.
