After studying this unit you learn about the different aids that you can use in the classroom and their benefits. The different aids include, CD/DVD players, cassette players, overhead projectors, white boards, worksheets, computers, dictionaries, online resources, photocopiers, and many more. You are given examples of the different ways that each can be used and the benefits for some of them and the disadvantages that can come with a few. For example, OHP are a great use for helping kids stay focused, having you lesson planned and written out before hand, and are great for timed reading and gap filling exercises. Along with the benefits they also have disadvantages such as, being difficult to set up, and not having a dark space to project the screen that is efficiently big enough that the learners can read.
