This unit contained very useful and important information regarding receptive skills (Reading and Listening) and how to teach them. It stated the reasons and motives for reading and listening, as well as which skills help us process information received after reading\listening of a text or an audio recoding . There are some problems that may occur during the process of teaching; they can easily be overcome by using certain strategies (pre-teach unfamiliar words, select texts carefully along with topics that can motivate and engage students, etc.). I find this unit very helpful for me because it describes all the problems that may happen as well as practical solutions that can be applied to avoid them.
