What do I learn from this unit is how to teach vocabulary, grammar and function to students. Grammar is like a tree trunk and branches of language while vocabulary and functions are the leaves to make it more beautiful and variety.
What I need to do when teaching vocabulary as followed:
A.Select vocabulary in right way which using appropriacy words to the students and task.
B.Also the Frequency, coverage and teachability should be take care especially to beginner students.
I also learn how to teach grammatical structure and language function in this unit. Basically all students will need to know what the language means, how it is used, what the grammatical form is and how it is said/written.
Except the vocabulary and grammar, language also consists of functions, which including inviting, refusing, agreeing and disagreeing, suggesting, etc. Teaching language functions we should know how to let students to use the appropriacy of language in terms of the kind of language- formal, informal, tentative, technical ect.
The techniques for vocabulary, presenting and practising language structures and functions are learned from this unit as well. The typical ESA for Vocabulary, grammar and functions in details in this unit will be very helpful in my future teaching.
