This unit provides a good grounding for a thorough understanding of the respective roles of both the teacher and the student, in the teacher / student relationship. Additionally, the qualities necessary to be successful in either role are explored and explained in clear detail. Whilst some of the information may be fairly obvious, like the characteristics required to be a good learner, such as motivation, some of the less obvious aspects involved in the role of the teacher may be ones that only course participants come to reflect upon, as they navigate the unit.
