This lesson showed me the difference between effective an ineffective teaching. In the first lesson, the teacher seemed to lack confidence, talked too fast and was unclear, did not take the time to explain concepts or activities well, and had an overall negative attitude toward the students. His mannerisms and attitude came across a bit scary and like he did not want to be there. In the first lesson, the students look at each other confused and few students answer his questions due to his poor teaching style. In the second lesson, the teacher explained and talked much slower and clearer, and encouraged student participation by not making them feel bad when they weren't perfect.
