Although difficult, this was an interesting and informative unit. Learning the International Phonemic Alphabet was fun and will be helpful in teaching English. I was fascinated with all the terms and diagrams explaining how sounds are formed. This was never taught to me--even in my college level linguistics class. This information will be helpful this year as I teach my kindergarteners their sounds and letters. Both the charts on the Phonemic Alphabet and the Manner and Place of Articulation will be great resources for teaching English.
