Writing and Speaking are the two activities of production in language. While speaking is thought of to be the easier of the two because things can be more easily corrected and fluency does not have to be as accurate, reading is still a very important process for students to learn. Teachers should make sure the students have reasons to be motivated for speaking and writing such as them wanting to say something or they are interested in what is being said. The two main activities used to develop speaking and writing are accuracy and fluency activities. They both have equal importance but accuracy is usually practiced in a controlled activity while with fluency the scenario may be controlled by the teacher but the output is controlled by the students. A lot of students may be reluctant to speak in front of the classroom which is why it is important to know the activities and ways to motivate students to speak.
