Many of what I learnt from this Unit, I feel is very second nature to me. A teacher who is kind, patient, lively, entertaining, motivating, attentive, and has good subject matter and report with the class will without a doubt get through to his/her students and will provide a path that they can continually succeed on as a learner without fear or hesitation. Reading about the different roles a teacher can play was very interesting to me and I think there is a place for each and every role in a classroom setting in order to successfully orchestrate a healthy, fun, interesting and diverse learning environment. I feel that the role of an organizer and manager are very similar, as a manager you are in charge of organizing and making sure the students clearly understand what they are doing. Clarity is key otherwise students get confused and give up. I think that this role is very important and if i had to choose two others to put at the top of my list I would say being a participant and a prompter is important as well. Participating with your students is highly effective because it makes for a more engaging and joyful experience for them; by participating you are succeeding in filling multiple roles such as: model, observer, and facilitator.
