In the twelth unit of our ITTT course tilted "Teaching Productive Skills", we learned about the main differences between accuracy and fluency activities, how to encourage students to begin speaking and using their grammar skills, techniques to encourage a greater deal of student interaction, incorprating handwriting, spelling, punctuation, and creative writing skills. The first section explained the difference between accuracy and fluency activities as being comprised of activties concentrated of producting correct language ussage versus activities concentrated on allowing the students to experiment and use creative language. The second section addressed the topic of how to encourage students to begin speaking and using their grammar skills through the use of controlled games and activities, guided activities, and creative communication activities. The third section talked about techniques to help encourage student interaction which include pair-work, group-work, careful planning, and changing classroom dynamics. The fourth section talked about the importance of teaching students to use proper handwriting, spelling, punctuation, and creative writing skills so that they can improve their writing skills.
