In this unit I learned about the importance of making a lesson plan. I learned that it is important to at least have a very basic lesson plan written out so that your lesson at least has some structure. I also learned that it is important for a teacher to be flexible within their lesson plan so that the lesson isn't all teacher centered. If the students need more time allotted to a subject you are going over, a teacher should be able to give that extra time to the students. I also learned that a teacher should have everything set up and prepared before the students enter the classroom, for example, making sure all the technology you will be utilizing during your lesson plan works.
