This unit was the most challenging for me thus far as it tackled an area that I had never been taught in detail. As a native English speaker, pronunciation and phonology are areas which seem to come naturally and is not an area I think about on a regular basis. This unit provided me with essential teaching techniques for intonation, stress and pronunciation such as nonsense words, humming or singing, gestures, using your own mouth and using visuals. It was also very helpful to learn the phonetic alphabet.
