I have learned about the various stages of proficiency in languages as well as attempts to gauge and approach students. I also learned what makes a good student and some different cultural differences some parts of the world have.
I might have known this already but reading how children are more receptive to language although they are more than likely less motivated was interesting. Meanwhile, adults can be the other way around due to ironed in misconceptions that they have to overcome.
