In this unit we looked at receptive skills (reading and writing), all the skills should be incorporate into our lessons to have a balance approach. Reading and listening has two categories;. For purpose, which is to motivate and to achieve a particular goal. 2. Entertainment: for example, reading a novel or telling a joke. Reading and listening is more than seeing and hearing, but understanding preexisting meaning of the word and the context in which it was used. There are problems with reading and listening, how ever there are skills the teacher can use to ensure that the students a successful in learning a new language.
