This unit deals with the various stages of planning a lesson it goes over the basic PPP structure in relation to the ESA planning styles. It is important to keep in mind the goals of a lesson and in my experience the end of the lesson should always be planned first. The reason for this is so that you can work backwards from the goal that the students need to be able to achieve during the lesson. In the same way that we give words, statements and then questions we can't teach students questions first without the correct vocabulary and it would be impossible for students to answer questions if they have not been taught the statements or answers to those questions. When planning a lesson the goal is to try and have building blocks that clearly transition from one things to the next and scaffold student learning.
