This unit broke down the different aspects of pronunciation, such as the physical parts of the mouth, nasal and throat passage that are used, the different kinds of sounds that are made by the interaction of those parts, and different ways that intonation and emphasis can change meaning, as well as the different ways that sounds can change based on the words and sounds that they are next to. I agree that it is important to keep in mind that students need to practice and understand pronunciation in context, rather than only through drilling individual sounds.
