This unit describes the importance of teaching vocabulary, grammar and functions. It shows how each of these three elements can be taught by applying the ESA method (following the straight arrow, boomerang and patchwork scheme). I found very helpful the examples given of a typical lesson on grammar and vocabulary as it was clear to me that by applying the ESA method even learning verb tenses can be fun and can be put into practise straight away.
